Application:
The CSF filter is a secondary manual filter. The water needs to be filtered by a primary filter or the dirt particles in the water must be smaller than 2mm. The dirt loading needs to be relatively low as the filter must be inspected manually and then flushed by hand.

The manual inspection intervals must therefore be manageable.
These filters are designed to filter bore hole water where particles are smaller than 2mm or for applications where the equipment is installed far from the primary filter like in extended pipelines.

Water enters the Filter at the Inlet (1) and goes through the Fine Screen (2). The Fine Screen collects all the fine dirt on the inside of the element. The clean water exits the Filter at the Outlet (3).

To flush the filter, the Flush Valve (4) is opened manually. When the Flush Valve is open, the Handle (5) is rotated, anti clock wise, by hand. The crank handle rotates the Dirt Collector (6) and the Suction Nozzles (7) sucking the dirt off the Screen (2). The dirt goes through the Dirt Collector (6) and Flushing Chamber Tee (8) out the Flushing Valve (4). When the Crank Handle (5) is turned all the way out, the rotation direction is changed to clockwise and rotated all the way back in, perfectly cleaning the Screen (2).
